Editorial & Medical-Review Policy
How BuyForBaby researches, writes, cites, and reviews its guides — including named author bylines and independent medical/safety review for baby health and safety (YMYL) content.
BuyForBaby guides help parents make real decisions about their baby — what to buy, what to skip, and what keeps a baby safe. Because that includes health and safety topics, we hold this content to a higher standard than a typical shopping blog. This page explains how our content is made and who stands behind it.
Every guide has a named author
Nothing publishes under a faceless brand name. Each guide carries a real byline linking to an author profile with their background and credentials. Authorship is a promise of accountability.
Safety & health content is independently reviewed
Anything touching baby safety or health — safe sleep, car seats, feeding, medication, temperatures — is checked by a qualified reviewer (e.g. a registered nurse or certified car-seat technician) before it goes live, and carries a visible "reviewed by" line.
Claims are cited to primary sources
Safety and regulatory claims link to primary authorities for the reader's market — Health Canada, Transport Canada / CMVSS in Canada; BIS and equivalent bodies in India — not to secondary blog posts.
Human editing, always
We may use AI to help draft or outline, but a named human editor fact-checks every claim, adds first-hand experience, and takes responsibility for the final guide. We never mass-publish unedited AI content.
We keep guides current
Prices, retailers, discounts, and regulations change. Time-sensitive claims are date-stamped, and we revisit cornerstone guides so the advice you read reflects the current landscape in your market.
Corrections are welcome and prompt
If a guide is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it. Material corrections are made promptly and, where relevant, noted on the page.
Our review process, step by step
- Brief. Each guide starts from an approved brief with a clear reader question and target market (Canada or India). Safety and health topics are flagged as requiring expert review.
- Draft. A named author writes the guide, drawing on hands-on research and market-specific retailers, pricing, and standards. AI may assist with structure, but a human owns the content.
- Fact-check & citations. Every factual and safety claim is verified and, where it concerns safety or regulation, cited to a primary authority for the reader's market.
- Medical / safety review (YMYL). Baby health and safety guides are reviewed and signed off by a qualified reviewer before publishing. Their name and credentials appear on the page.
- Publish & maintain. Guides are date-stamped, monitored, and refreshed as products, prices, and regulations change.
Who writes and reviews our content
Our authors and reviewers each have a public profile describing their background and credentials. You can see who wrote (and, for safety topics, who reviewed) any guide from the byline at the top of the article, or browse our guides to see it in context. Learn more about BuyForBaby.
